Restricted affordances: Avatar models and capacities for identity

As part of an on-going project, Noell Brett (website here) and I have been working on researching the ways in which certain affordances are granted to avatars, and the ways in which this can change immersion and cohesion between the player and avatar. The following abstract was accepted to the Digital Games Research Association’s 2018 conference in Turin, Italy.
